I'm into Videography now....

Hooray new hobby??

Sorry for the lack of updates, really lack of updates.

So whats new?

There's a lot of new gears announced by those famous camera companies, a few attracts me, especially the new LX100 by Panasonic. I'm into smaller cameras now, cameras that i can bring anywhere. almost pocketable. and i'm also into videography! Starting to youtubes all those Final Cut Pro tutorials available. I just did a basic editing using Final Cut Pro X taken with my new Sony Rx100iii !!

Oh yea...

did i tell you that i just purchased the Sony RX100III??? No?? Yea i owned it now! Such a great camera. really fun to use. IQ was okay not Fujifilm territory but the Sony being pocketable and the smaller size, its easier to bring anywhere now. And its great for everyday snapshots and travel snapshots. i'll keep my Fuji for work related stuffs. for all things snapshot the Sony it is! I will give my own review in the near future post.

The new Fuji X100T is kind of cool too. Really handy new updates and features. that new electronic rangefinder is really intriguing. but no, i'm not gonna upgrade for now.

I just ran out of words.

stay tuned for the Sony RX100iii review, it aint grand, just another countless reviews

From London to Italy and Leicester ........ (Part 8 Leicester)

I was here in Leicester three years ago and coming back here felt familiar, it feels a bit like home. I didn't really take as much photos as i planned to, only a few snapshots here and there. I was starting to get lazy to bring my camera, after that Italy trip, i felt my shoulder is a bit sore and tired. Rest of the days i didn't bring any bags with me, i just want to travel light.

When i'm in Leicester, i just loved to go to the city centre and just watch all the people go with their day to day business. Chillax sippin Costa coffee and window shopping in Highcross, the big mall in Leicester city centre. Ate the 5pound all you can eat buffet and stroll around in the fresh fruits market. These are the kind of things i do when i'm in Leicester, if i'm not, most of the time i'll be in my hotel. I love Premier Inn Hotel, and the one in Leicester is also located nicely, near the railstation and 5-10mins walk to the city centre malls.

When i'm in the hotel i just watched whats on TV. Usually in the morning, the day started with Everybody Loves Raymond and followed by Kelsey Grammer's Frasier and then the Big Bang theory... i dont remember which channel is which, its something like ITV or E4. and then there's a channel with a plus one at the end, ITV+1, its the same programme delayed by an hour me thinks. Ahhh TVs.... everywhere you go, you'd be watching TV. Genius invention, its actually a mind control machine, if you really think about it....

At 10ish pm, it was dead quiet, zombies might lurk around the corners!

Fuji is getting boring and predictable????

I'm not super duper excited as i used to when Fujifilm announced their new cameras these coming days. I've followed fujirumors everyday and most of the time i didn't find my heart pumping like it used to when Fujifilm X-T1 was leaked all over the internet. Is Fujifilm getting boring? I'm talking about new gears and forget photography for now. its all about the gears. Rebranding an old model and improves some features is what they are doing this time around. The X30 was disappointing. unless you never have a Fujifilm in your life then thats acceptable. It will be a great camera. The rumored X100T is looking to be the same camera as the X100S except for some few improvements. Bigger screen, something something parallax error fixed OVF, bla bla bla faster autofocus. You know, i never believe the marketing hype of Fujifilm when it said they had the fastest autofocus camera because Olympus is blazingly faster. Boo Fujifilm. Maybe the X-T1 is fast but i never tried it. A silver X-T1??? Hmmmm.... i always wonder what it would look like. They are a few photoshopped pictures of Silver X-T1 but i wanna see the real thing. Even Olympus E-M1 is going silver. Is silver the new black? The Silver Nikon DF is sexy, lets see how these mirrorless silver retro SLR style live up to. so my question is Fujifilm getting boring and predictable? Or maybe my vision of photography gears is changing. Now i just want the smallest camera with the highest IQ that i can bring around all the time. and at this moment that camera is the Sony RX100M3. Is it really that good? all reviews really hyped it up. So i wanna check it out and get my self the RX100M3 and let me tell you all about it after my Singapore trip this end of September. Lets see if its the be all end all of my cameras.

Writer's block

Wow, almost one week and no updates. I'm having some sort of a writer's block if you will. I used to just write whats on my mind and let my fingers do the autopilot stuff. just type whatevers in my head. Now, its not flowing. maybe i overdo too much. Sometimes i wanna write a kind of books stuffs style of writing, which i really suck at. I love writing but i quickly lose the plot. Now i'm not sure what to rambles on. I wrote a few and then i just save it to draft and never look back and thus no blog updates. Well... what do i have to say? Let's first start the fact that i put my X-pro1 up for sale. I think i no longer need it. Its GAS purchased anyway. To be honest i'm not quite happy with my X-pro1. I keep comparing the JPGs to my trusty X100S. Somehow it is just not the same. Lifeless on X-pro1, needs more editing. i might have a bad copy, or i'm so used to see the aggressive noise reduction on my X100S. Lifeless is harsh to be honest. Its just not as clean as X100S. I dont know. Sometimes i love grain and all any other time i want it clean. Most of the time. So i'm keeping my X100S and put up on sale the X-pro1. its not a desperate sell. If someone comes and buy it, then its gone, if not, well i just keep it collecting dust. I have the X-M1 which i prefer for being small and the screen can tilt. I did not miss the OVF of the X-pro1. Most of the time i stick with EVF. WYSIWYG. I used to have trouble reverse engineering those letters. Its What You See Is What You Get. I cant trust the OVF on the Fuji. Because of the misfocus prone of the camera. Might just use the EVF and see whats in focus or not.

Right now, i just want a small camera that i can put in my pocket and bring anywhere and i am eyeing the Sony RX100 III, not a retro design but packs with powerful stuffs. 1inch sensor that Fuji not able to bring one out yet. And Sony's video capabilities is superb for a noob like me, i'm into videography now. I have yet to record any videos, i'm waiting for the Sony! I've been youtubing and vimeoing all those videos created by Sony RX100M3. i think its good enough for beginner's videographing. No mic out but i found a way, just use another audio recorder and sync in post. More work but thats how to do it properly. But my first video project is to do music video or landscapes kind of videos, so audio is not a priority.

X100T is coming out and rumor has it that it features 16Mp. My guess is its the same old sensor? Another rebranding of an old model? Please no Fuji. You did it with the X30, while it has nice features.... but to fellow enthusiast it offers nothing. We crave the 1inch sensor LOL. We have sensor size OCD. and looks like the X100T is gonna be the same. Just new features on an old body. and please dont scrap the OVF. while i prefer to use a better EVF but the looks of the OVF on the camera is what makes it sexy and retro chic. Prove me wrong Fuji. I hope the X100T is awesome and i might be come knocking my GAS. Come September 10.

I guess thats enough ramblings for today.
