Fuji X100S..... not another review again..

Just my thoughts on the most raved camera of all time... maybe not all time but almost... well anyway, this is not a review, i dont really care about tech specs, i bought it because of its retro look and it was raved a lot and took great pictures. stunning quality. There are countless of reviews on the net, technical, user reviews and so forth.... but this aint it..... just my rubbish rant....

Its not DSLR killer, but maybe, just maybe a Leica killer........ whats that? said leica die hard fans... well maybe not a leica killer but almost hahaha.... most person will be put off by the higher price tag of the leicas, so they go to Fuji x100s, its rangefinder-ish looks, cheaper than leica, i mean way cheaper.... got auto focus, and stunning image quality.... i'd say that is a Leica market killer.... and it is being praised and raved a lot on the net helped put the x100s status on top of the world... a poor man's leica they say.... leica what?

If you can live without zoom then the x100s is a perfect choice go to camera... its portable, not quite small to fit pocket but better than lugging a SLR.... my friend just bought a Canon rebel t5i, even he complaint its like moving houses altogether when lugging around with his canon.... told ya to get Fuji... u d*mba$$... hahahaha... but he enjoyed his SLR.... thats what really matters... i mean yea... no zoom... just a fixed focal length, its great for street photography they say... i can live with that..no zoom.. before i bought my fuji, i had my SLR and ever since i got an iphone i never use my SLR, i use my iphone to take pictures and i dont really use zoom... thats why i got the x100s, i dont really care to zoom.... i like wide angle pictures....

x100s is the most raved and praised camera on the net... did i say that already? but it is.... just search on google, there's not a bad thing to say about this camera... just a little complaints maybe but it is almost perfect camera. The JPEG quality is awesome and i dont really shoot RAW... if you shoot RAW then the more awesome for you.... details are crazy good. You can also get BOKEH with its fast lens at f2.0.

i put a B+W UV filter just to protect the lens from being bump or scratches, no difference in quality although im not really a pixel peeper, i dont even know whats IQ. What matters is the photo. if you worry too much about pixels, tech specs and what not....errr....wheres the fun in that? If you have the eye for it, just press the shutter and live with it.

Silent mode on this camera is pretty silent. i posted about that the other day. Man. this thing is silence....of the lamb...haaha.... i mean pretty silent.

what else are there to say..... hmm.... focus sometimes is a bit of hit and miss.... sometimes it focus the background...but when it nails it...its crazy good.....

if you havent own a Fuji x100s, you should... its a great to go to camera... now you have choices... it comes in black and of course silver..... that black is soooooo sexyyy....

so whats next Fuji? how can they improve the x100s... its already a truly great camera....the next x200 or x100tripleS.. all i can predict that they are gonna come up with a FULL FRAME x100, just to please those full frame junkies out there.... 35mm f1.8 i think is a decent lens... since all their XF lenses will not be compatible with full frame, i think they can make new lens for a full frame x100s since its a fixed lens...

Ok, this is my first blog post about a football team or soccer team that i supported, Tottenham Hotspurs. But im not an obsessed fan, dont ask me about its history. i started become a fan when Gary Lineker was in it. I also took a considerable amount of time to figure out what COYS mean? Funny? Yea whatever. I just watched the football and the results matters. But being a Spurs fan, i dont have high expectations. Thats what usually any Spurs fans do, i heard. Until Harry Redknapp took us to Champions League. Gaargghh! It turned the fans wanting for more, expectation too high and now everything seems to be unstable in Tottenham. Changing managers, bought new half team and messed up each year. Too high of expectation is bad for your health. hahhaa... at least its frustrating. This rivalry between us and Arsenal, in reality, Arsenal has always been the better team. (A lot of fanboy Spurs will spit their coffee reading this). but its the truth. There is just not enough consistency in Spurs form/play. The football is better at Arsenal. I'm more of a fan of football than a fan of a club. I remember Spurs always start strong and then nervously crumbled down in the end. i think the best manager statistically was Harry. He brought us Top 5 every season and one champions league. now dont throw me statistic whos better or not, i honestly dont care. this is just what i think. The football was direct and fun to watch rather than the painful playing style of AVB. PLaying on Handbrakes one said. I've always waited each week for an entertaining football from AVB. Not so much. The cautios football is painful to watch. But Gareth Bale was there to push the gas, accelerate, "ok, lets score a goal" Bale said, then boom, sprinted, shot and scored! exciting times. Now he's gone to Madrid, and Spurs sucks to watch.  Then came Tim Sherwood, i seen this guy play on TV, it used to be called English Soccer and the anthemic song of that football program. So classic. So much memories. Anyway, Tim's a player. To be honest i like a manager who used to be a pro player. but the football is still painful to watch. AVB they said is a master tactician but he didnt live up to that reputation. Unless his tactic is to keep passing the ball back to the keeper eventhough we're attacking. Ever since he got the sacked, honestly i lost interest watching Spurs. Its just too unstable. I love stability in a team. Appointing Tim i can see it as a temporary, it never was full time. i guess Levy is wishing that we did not get into top 4 this season so he could appoint Louis Van Gaal whos been speculated to take the job next season. i dont hate Tim, its just that i can feel the instability of the club. Changing managers season after season is not good for the club. look at Ferguson, Arsene Wenger, these guys been in the club like forever and see where they've been up to. Spurs are always relying on a moment of individual brilliantness. its such a shame because its a team game. Yesterday's game against Everton was a moment of brilliance by Kyle Walker and of course Ade. Only the other shot at goal of the game besides Defoe last minute shot. But Ade took it. It was a wonderful control too. and shot at the tightest angle of the goal post is schweeeeettttt. But still the overall game is painful and boring to watch. no more excitement or the shakey trembling feeling of the body of nervousness and brilliantness.

Been slowly updating my blog, i guess my GAS is slowing down. Not so much taking pictures lately. Did my photography season is over? You know, i can be quite seasonal. But thats what fills my life. i can be interested in music making and nothing else. one season i can be interested in riding my bikes. for now i'm interested in photography. But im also interested in buying camera gears, pheww... that one hurts my wallet.

So much talk about the new Fuji X-T1, somehow i admit it can be sickening. lol. Not that i hate Fuji. Maybe i found it to be really hyped. But then it is truly a great camera although i havent touch one and try one but those fanboys posting review on the internet aren't fools too!

But somehow my heart set out for the OMD EM10. maybe because its cheaper and i just want to own it. there i said it. i'm also waiting for a big discount on the Fuji X-Pro1. and then im finished. done. no more GAS. lets concentrate on photography. i hope it is that simple.

i want to do a lot of black and white photography but my workflow is messed up on this one. SOmetimes i like the contrasty dramatic B&W, sometimes i like that VSCO creamy faded look. i love Ansel Adams stuffs fyi. if only im good at dodging and burning. i dont have an eye for that one. Ya know, shade here, light there.

Fuji X100S Silent Mode!

OK,

i keep hearing about these claims that x100s made the quietest shutter sound of all... Yea, the shutter sounded a bit quieter than a traditional SLR, it sounded like "chit" rather than "Clack!".... But i keep ON hearing these claims that it made almost no sound at all.... like NADA.... like probably none.... i mean really? is it really that quiet?.... i mean, Yea... it made "chit" sound but i can still hear it.... it still audible...it still made sound... . so i thought these photogs felt that the "chit" sound is the quietest shutter sound ever.... so i just let it go... yea its quiet ("with a dumb face" "i can still hear it!").

And then i saw the video from Fujifilm, i posted in my blog post before, its Zack Arias.... he also claimed that the x100s made no sound at all! or was it David Hobby of the strobist made the claim? i think them both claimed it made no sound at all..... i mean, these guys are ridiculously exaggerating.... that "chit" sound, is audible... i think people 2meters from me can hear it..... its not DEAD quiet.... so it intrigues me......

and then i remember back then when i first got the X100S, when i just scroll/glanced the Manual.... and i remember i saw "Silent Mode"..... and then it clicked me, clicked my brain....hmmmmm.... maybe they meant this... .... so i gave it a try.... put it in Silent Mode and YADAAA!!

Woweee! it is DEAD quiet! it really made NO sound at all. i mean like NADA! Except for the sound of your lens trying to focus but other than that.... the shutter really made no sound. its like you're standing there with your x100s and taking picture of someone and they just posed like forever waiting for the shutter sound.........(waiting)

 Geeee... now i understand that its not exaggerated.... it is really really quiet no sound at all.......

i have this badly uncontrollable lust for an OMD EM10..... i know i know, Fuji X-T1 is the better choice but i just love how classic the OMD EM10 looked....GAWD! Now i need reviewer to say good things about it, what i want and need to hear! i'm poisoned by EM10. more like seduced!
